Living in a community where college isn’t always on the radar isn’t stopping Samantha Moreno from giving her peers the tools to succeed.
That’s why she serves as a peer leader who leads workshops in her school on how students can prepare to apply for college.
But it’s much more than that.
“It helps people come out of their shell,” she tells Made in Hollywood. “It helped me connect with people I never thought I would connecting with.”
Moreno cites her leadership skills as the driving force behind her efforts. “If I can use that to help my peers better their future… it is really rewarding.”
